Coastal footpaths to local beaches are just paces away and a bus service along the esplanade links Woolacombe and Mortehoe Village; meaning everyone can enjoy the Hot Spots as well as the High Spots.

For a walk on the wild side take the path to Morte Point. With the wind in your hair and seals in the sea below, it is breath taking. On your return it will be hard to resist calling into one of the pubs - each offering delicious local produce. Alternatively Rockham Bay with its tales of smugglers and shipwrecks, has rocks to climb, pools to explore and a sandy beach for swimming.

There are valleys to enjoy and a lighthouse, however, if you prefer a gentle stroll around the village the Mortehoe Museum is a good place to start. The historic Church, tearooms, gift shops, Post Office and general store add much to the community spirit of Mortehoe: one that you become part of as soon as you arrive.


3 Crescent Yard (sleeps 6) with parking for two cars is the largest of the three private cottages. Sea views to Baggy Point and Hartland.  

Downstairs the generously proportioned rooms all have under floor heating.   A slated entrance and inner hallway with cloakroom leads to a large and extremely well equipped kitchen.  Solid oak units house full sized dishwasher, washer/dryer, 50/50 fridge freezer, full sized oven, microwave and grill, gas hob with five rings and double sink. Breakfast at a large kitchen table (seating six) with the sea in the distance is a great start.  Alternatively, at the end of the day on the patio with its picnic bench and palm tree while the sun sheds its fiery rays across the water......... truly magical.    

The splendid lounge/diner across the hallway has a further table also seating six.  There is a TV/DVD player, two large and comfortable sofas and an armchair providing comfortable seating for all, with its pictures, large sideboard, coffee and lamp tables this room has a luxury feel.   A conservatory off the lounge with new contemporary grey table and chairs, leads to another patio with second picnic table.  Bounded by open grazing land it is perfect for barbeques or simply relaxing in the sunshine.  The garden lawn has a rotary drier and garden bench along with the picnic benches previously mentioned.

Upstairs the charming master bedroom with sea view taking in Baggy Point and Hartland on a clear day, has en suite with shower, king sized bed, large built in wardrobe and dresser.   Along the corridor a smaller room with 3' single bed and 3' guest bed under, has a spacious built in wardrobe with additional storage. The large family bathroom is opposite   At the corridor's far end a beautifully spacious and airy twin bedded room enjoys uninterrupted views over National Trust grazing.  There is vast built in wardrobe and cupboard space, and en suite with shower.   An outstanding holiday home with under floor heating, conservatory, 4 loos, garden and two patios behind high lockable gates!
