The three cottages at Crescent Yard have every modern comfort while retaining the country cottage appeal. These superb holiday homes are ideally situated in the heart of the village yet off the beaten track, with no through traffic. The private courtyard allows easy parking.

Coastal footpaths to local beaches are just paces away and a bus service along the esplanade links Woolacombe and Mortehoe Village; meaning everyone can enjoy the Hot Spots as well as the High Spots.

For a walk on the wild side take the path to Morte Point. With the wind in your hair and seals in the sea below, it is breath taking. On your return it will be hard to resist calling into one of the pubs - each offering delicious local produce. Alternatively Rockham Bay with its tales of smugglers and shipwrecks, has rocks to climb, pools to explore and a sandy beach for swimming.

There are valleys to enjoy and a lighthouse, however, if you prefer a gentle stroll around the village the Mortehoe Museum is a good place to start. The historic Church, tearooms, gift shops, Post Office and general store add much to the community spirit of Mortehoe: one that you become part of as soon as you arrive.

1 CRESCENT YARD is a stylish modern yet homely cottage and offers country peace near the seaside, a perfect combination. The level approach with parking for two cars is a huge plus!

The front door opens to a hallway and cloakroom/WC, with kitchen to the right and lounge/diner to the left.The front to back double aspect kitchen is a good size and bright and cheery. Its shaker style units house full sized electric oven, hob, 50/50 fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, 1.5 sink, washer dryer. A breakfast table seating four is by a window that overlooks the terrace and fields beyond which is a delight in the morning light.

A few years ago the lounge was altered and the spacious lounge/diner which is both modern and traditional was extended and features a dining table for six as well as two armchairs, two occasional chairs, a large sofa, TV/DVD, coffee/ games tables, pictures and lamps. A sliding door in the patio doors opens to the path and raised terraces. This is a good family room with space for all to enjoy time together.

There are shallow outside steps to the first level with table and chairs and further steps, which may not be suitable for toddlers, leading to the upper terrace with distant sea view, also accessible from the master bedroom. There is shelter below the decking for surfboards and bicycles, with hooks for wetsuits.

Upstairs are three bedrooms.

I simply love the stylish master bedroom and en suite with shower which has a built in wardrobe, double bed, drawers and cabinets. Patio doors lead outside to the terrace that overlooks open countryside and has a distant sea view. Ideal for that early morning coffee while reading the newspapers.

Across the landing is a really spacious twin bedded room with two wardrobes and chest of drawers. The front window overlooks the courtyard while the other offers uninterrupted views of National Trust grazing land.

An attractive single bedroom overlooking the courtyard, has a 3ft wide single bed with comfortable guest bed under that can be raised to the same height, a built in wardrobe, and chest of drawers. It shares the family bath/shower room with the twin bedded room.

Travel cot and highchair available...please advise when booking so they can be left out for you.
